Our Client is based in the West Midlands and is now in the search of a Senior Electrical Technician. You will be joining a highly skilled electrical engineering team. This a family run business which deep rooted heritage within the West Midlands. The company works primarily within the Chemicals industry, with exposure to pharmaceutical, Agro Chemical and other specialist Chemical industries.
The successful individual will be an experienced (Time served / apprenticeship trained) qualified Electrical Technician. Required Experience:
1. Electrical plant installation and modification work in an industrial environment.
2. Electrical preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial environment.
3. The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
4. Statutory inspections.
5. The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.
6. Ideally have a good understanding of ATEX requirements.
7. Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems.
Qualifications & Training:
1. Educated to RQF level 3 (e.g. City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Electrical discipline as a minimum.
2. Ideally you would have a recognised Electrical apprenticeship.
3. Ideally you have the 18th edition electrical wiring regulations.
4. Ideally you would have a Compex (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualification but this is not a necessity.
5. Ideally you would also have training with MEWPs.

There will be a 1in4 electrical call-in rota system (an additional minimum £1.6k p.a.) will be paid for this. The candidate will only be assigned to this upon successful completion of the probationary period and relevant site knowledge obtained.
