This is an exciting opportunity to join Anchor as their Director of Technology & Data. Reporting to the Executive Director of Business Services, the successful candidate will steer Anchor’s technology and data strategy into the future, ensuring our infrastructure, applications, and data management practices not only meet today's needs but are primed for tomorrow's challenges. This pivotal role encompasses leading digital transformation, promoting innovation, and ensuring the secure, efficient, and ethical use of technology and data across the organisation's 9,000 colleagues.
Some responsibilities include:
* Partner with key stakeholders across the business to understand the vision and blueprint for service delivery (internal and external customers).
* Review the current operating model and propose a target operating model that focuses on the fastest time to deliver value initially whilst setting out a clear technology roadmap for the future.
* Lead the development and implementation of a longer-term robust technology strategy.
* Oversee the creation of a comprehensive data strategy.
* Establish and embed IT governance frameworks to deliver value, mitigate risk, and ensure that IT investments are based on a solid understanding of requirements.
* Oversee Anchor’s cybersecurity strategy.
* Create an appropriate IT structure and operating model with the capabilities and culture required for a customer and business-centric directorate.
* Oversee the smooth operation of IT services and infrastructure.
* Develop Anchor’s IT project management capability to lead IT projects from conception through to completion.
* Manage the IT and data budget, ensuring cost control, cost-effective resource allocation, and overseeing IT procurement.
* Partner with the Director of People and Culture to develop a programme of digital and data literacy across the organisation.
Anchor is looking to appoint a senior leader who has the following attributes:
* Significant IT/Data experience, with time spent in a senior leadership role within a large, complex organisation, preferably in Housing or Care sectors.
* Experience of developing digital and data operating models for a large group structure based on common maturity assessments.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing technology strategies that include large scale cloud solutions, infrastructure projects, cybersecurity, data, and enterprise architecture.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* A natural business partner who puts their customer and the business outcomes at the centre of their thinking.
* A passionate advocate for leveraging technology to deliver business value, with a commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.
* High emotional intelligence, capable of navigating the complexities of change management and cultural transformation.
* An analytical mindset, adept at making data-driven decisions and demonstrating the business value of IT investments.
Please note Anchor are open as to where the successful candidate is based (home based contract), however there is an expectation of national travel as required.
