My client are a fast growing renewable energy organisation based in Basingstoke. They are seeking a Wayleave Officer to support their in-house legal team.
This is a full-time permanent role that will require 5 days a week within the office so candidates will need to live within a commutable distance to the office.
The role will include, but not be limited to, the below tasks;
* Managing and actively obtaining wayleaves, easements, licences, and substation leases.
* Ensuring the correct permissions are in place for projects, including identifying the permissions required.
* Using effective and efficient means of communication.
* Create relationships with key DNOs and IDNOs and act as a main point of contract/respond to queries in a timely manner.
* Identify the correct landowners and site providers we require permission from by investigating through search providers including HM Land Registry.
* Track progress through our systems to ensure we are actively pushing for completions in line with our programmes.
* Keep various internal spreadsheets updated as project progress is made and maintain a continuous flow of communication with key stakeholders.
* Independently and effectively manage workload.
* Escalate any potential issues back to your manager in a timely fashion.
Required Qualifications:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience using HM Land Registry to establish land ownership.
* IT Systems competency, including Microsoft Office.
* Passion for delivery, proactively working as part of a larger team.
* Ability to prioritise workload in line with department targets and installation programmes.
* Flexibility to perform multiple duties across projects and manage requests from numerous stakeholders.
* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment whilst showing resilience.
* Adept at problem solving.
* Knowledge of network consent requirements of the DNOs.
* Proficiency in analysing and understanding easement, wayleave and substation documents.
* Consistent ability to work to deadlines and manage priorities.
* Minimum of 7 A-C/9-5 grades at GCSE, including Maths and English, or equivalent.
* Minimum of 3 A-C A-levels or equivalent.
Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year + Benefits
