An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our esteemed nursing home based in North London. This role presents a unique chance to make a significant impact on the delivery of high-quality care and services to our residents, while also providing leadership and direction to our dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and quality are maintained at all times.
• Provide strong leadership and management to the multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided to residents, in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Ensure effective recruitment, training, and development of staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders, fostering a person-centered approach to care.
• Manage the budget and financial performance of the nursing home, working closely with the finance team to achieve financial targets and objectives.
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement activities, monitoring key performance indicators and implementing action plans to address areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including those set forth by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
• Qualified Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Proven experience in a senior management role within the healthcare sector, preferably in a nursing home or similar setting.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Sound understanding of financial management principles and experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and innovation, with a focus on delivering person-centered care.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing the provision of care services, including CQC requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
