Band 5 Clinical Exercise Physiologist

NHS Lothian is seeking a motivated and skilled Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our innovative Prehabilitation Service within the Orthopaedic Scheduled Care pathway.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes through proactive, evidence-based care.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Assessing health status and functional capacity of patients awaiting surgery or treatment.
* Designing and implementing safe, effective, and personalised exercise interventions aligned with clinical goals.
* Supporting patients in lifestyle modification and chronic disease management, including areas such as smoking cessation, alcohol moderation, diabetes, hypertension, and anaemia.
* Delivering care both in-person across NHS Lothian sites and remotely via digital platforms.
What We're Looking For
* A qualified Clinical Exercise Physiologist with experience in clinical assessment and exercise prescription.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
* A proactive approach to patient-centred care and service development
