Job summary:
Providing support to the HVAC department. The role is to plan, coordinate and oversee a range of HVAC projects. It involves managing a team of employees and sub-contractors, providing hands-on support whilst ensuring client satisfaction and best reputational and financial return for the Company. In addition, it requires collaboration with the M&E and Interiors teams offering support and costing to multi discipline projects.
Key responsibilities:
* Quoting of HVAC project works
* Collaborating directly with all necessary stakeholders in relation to all project works
* Selecting and coordinating contractors needed for projects
* Selecting and coordinating tools and materials needed for projects
* Regular site visits to check progress and amendments to requirements
* Manage, support and develop a team of HVAC engineers including bi-annual appraisals
* Cultivating strong working relationships to resolve project conflicts and making decisions where necessary with both clients and staff
* Tracking and analysing the financial performance of jobs
* Completion of site risk assessments and method statements and responsibility of H&S of HVAC staff and other staff under project control
* Disseminating health and safety information and documents ensuring all is compliant including O&M manuals and other completion documents
* Completion of works to target turnover and profit margin
* Following up on quotes sent
* Complete and/or oversee Commissioning certificates
* Attending and providing information at the weekly team meeting
* Reviewing and updating labour planner, ensuring the HVAC team has continuous work
* Ensuring all enquiries are responded to in a timely manner
* Meeting potential clients and fostering relationships
Qualifications required
* City and Guilds Level 3 in HVAC
* FGas qualification
* SSSTS or SMSTS desirable
* Formal project management qualification desirable, (e.g. Prince 2)
* Good with English (verbally and written)
* Proficient in using a computer (especially Word, Excel and MS Office)
