About The Role

The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, market trends, and business performance to support strategic decisions and improve commercial performance. They will collaborate with various departments such as finance, sales, marketing, and operations to provide insights that drive profitability, cost efficiencies, and business growth.

About You

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:
Analyze sales, revenue, and cost data to evaluate the company's commercial performance.
Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
Conduct profitability analysis on products, customers, and markets.
Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports on commercial activities.
Provide detailed analysis and reports on KPIs such as margins, pricing, and costs.
Present findings to senior management and make recommendations for improving profitability.
Market Analysis:
Analyze market trends, competition, and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
Conduct competitor benchmarking to evaluate market position.
Assist in pricing strategy analysis and development based on market research.
Business Partnering:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives aimed at improving business performance.
Provide financial insights to support marketing, sales, and operations strategies.
Work closely with product development teams to assess the commercial viability of new products and services.
Data Management:
Maintain and manage financial databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Develop and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and models to streamline data analysis.
Risk Management:
Identify risks and opportunities that could impact commercial performance.
Work with stakeholders to develop action plans to mitigate risks or capitalize on opportunities.
Key Skills And Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in financial or commercial analysis, preferably within the industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial modeling.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong business acumen and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in sectors like FMCG, retail, or technology.
Experience in developing and executing pricing strategies.
Familiarity with data analytics and forecasting methods.

Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
