The Best Connection are looking for a Sewing Machinist for a company in Preston, Lancashire.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our upholstery team, producing high-quality covers for bespoke and production sofas. The successful candidate will be responsible for sewing fabric, leather, and other upholstery materials to specification, ensuring accuracy, durability, and a high standard of finish.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble sofa covers and components
* Work from patterns, templates, and production drawings
* Ensure all stitching meets quality and durability standards
* Measure, cut, and prepare materials as required
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Meet daily production targets.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as an industrial sewing machinist (upholstery experience preferred)
* Ability to work with a range of fabrics and leather
* Strong attention to detail and quality control
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Team Player
* Reliable transportation to/from work
Hours of work: 06.45-16.45 Monday to Thursday
