Car Mechanic
Employment type: Permanent
Location: Near Uddington (Lanark, Scotland)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm.
Salary: £35,000-£42,000 per annum basic salary DOE + Works Van + Overtime (Saturday mornings available @ 1.5 X rate)
Are you a passionate and skilled Car Mechanic looking to join a family-owned garage where you can make a real impact? Our client is currently seeking an experienced Car Mechanic to become a key player in their highly reputable garage.
Example of Responsibilities
* Perform diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify issues.
* Conduct routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire changes, and brake inspections.
* Repair and replace worn or broken parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.
* Ensure vehicles are safe and in excellent operating condition.
* Keep detailed records of all work performed.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle condition and necessary repairs.
* Conduct MOT's (Full training and certification will be provided if this isn't something you have done previously)
Experience/ Skills Required
* Excellent communication skills
* Previous experience as a Car Mechanic is essential
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Valid driver's license.
* Related qualifications or certificates would be preferred.
