The Position:

Beyond Retro managers are role models who reflect the individuality, values and culture of our company and have a genuine passion for the Beyond Retro Brand.

You are creative and adaptable, handling multiple demands and changing priorities while always maintaining your commercial focus. You encourage innovation, originality and the open exchange of ideas with your team. Above all, you strive to provide a unique shopping experience to every customer through the delivery of excellent customer service and product presentation in a unique and vibrant environment.

Relationships

* Report to the Area Manager and work together to achieve store goals
* Act as a Learning and Development Champion and promote a strong learning culture
* Collaborate with all departments to drive sales and improve operations

People

* Deliver effective performance management including weekly one to ones, Individual Development Plans and coaching
* Build strong succession plans for all roles in your store
* Confidently address underperformance and conduct fair, timely disciplinary procedures
* Lead with motivation and focus on developing key skills like customer service, product placement, visual standards, time management and loss prevention

Commercial Awareness

* Drive sales year round and achieve financial targets
* Oversee Visual Merchandising and floor layouts to ensure displays are commercial and on brand
* Use reporting tools, including data platforms like Tableau and Netsuite, for informed planning
* Stay aware of market trends and regularly review vintage and high street competition, sharing insights with your Area Manager, fellow managers and your team

Operations

* Manage item movement and stock rotations to keep the sales floor fresh and aligned with Ideal Offering guidelines
* Support warehouse efficiency by managing timely deliveries and maintaining clean and organised backstock areas
* Contribute to sustainability and cost control by operating with a scarcity mindset and managing payroll, supplies and stock loss effectively
* Reduce stock loss by following all prevention procedures including fitting room checks, bag checks, security gate management, tagging and giraffing
* Take full responsibility for Health and Safety by upholding all company requirements
* Complete monthly SOS checks to maintain consistent store standards
* Ensure all team members are trained and compliant in till operations, cash handling, POS systems and inventory software
* Support additional responsibilities as needed for smooth store operations

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

* Minimum 2 years of retail experience, ideally in a supervisory or managerial role
* Strong leadership and customer service skills
* Experience in fashion retail is an asset
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* A positive person who cares about their peers
