Job Opportunity: Secretarial Support at Salisbury District Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the Surgical Division Secretarial Team at Salisbury District Hospital. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to Consultants, their teams, and the nursing staff. Responsibilities include liaising with other departments, responding to enquiries from the public, service users, and colleagues, as well as producing clinic letters and documents, maintaining notes, and collating investigations.
The role requires an enthusiastic team player with experience in typing, audio typing, and word processing skills to RSA level 2 or equivalent. A GCSE English Language grade C or above is also required. Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively are essential.
The successful applicant will:
1. Respond efficiently to telephone queries from patients, guardians, and healthcare professionals.
2. Work independently to manage workload and respond to departmental needs.
3. Provide secretarial support to the admin team during staff absences.
