The Role
The Digital Marketing Manager will lead and execute Holmes & Hills Solicitors' digital marketing strategy, focusing on managing and optimising the firm’s website and supporting paid advertising. This hands-on role combines strategic planning, digital content creation, SEO, and performance management. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the firm’s digital presence, especially website performance, keyword rankings, and content development, ensuring best practices are applied across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities Include
1. Develop and manage the firm’s overall digital marketing strategy to support business growth and client engagement.
2. Oversee the management of the firm’s websites, including content updates, SEO optimisation, keyword targeting, and site performance monitoring.
3. Coordinate with the external web agency to resolve technical issues, implement improvements, and support larger development projects.
4. Implement robust SEO practices, including keyword research, content structuring, internal linking, and securing high-quality backlinks.
5. Plan, create, and edit video content for the website and digital channels.
6. Utilise platforms such as Google Analytics 4, Search Console, and Google Tag Manager to track performance, identify issues, and optimise campaigns.
7. Support paid advertising efforts (PPC), reporting on ROI and keyword effectiveness.
8. Ensure all content and platforms comply with legal marketing standards, GDPR, and accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG).
9. Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager to align digital activities with broader marketing and business development goals.
10. Monitor emerging trends, digital tools, and competitor activity to keep the firm digitally competitive and innovative.
Your Experience
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital marketing, with proven success in managing technical digital projects such as website migrations and SEO initiatives. Experience in managing multi-channel campaigns (SEO, PPC, content, web pages) and working in professional services or regulated industries is essential. Strong knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Search Console, and digital marketing reporting is required. Experience in legal or professional services marketing and project management is desirable.
Skills Needed
1. Solid technical SEO knowledge, including redirects, indexing, and crawl optimisation.
2. Ability to brief and manage external suppliers (e.g., developers, agencies).
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored for professional audiences.
4. Proficiency with digital tools: Google Analytics 4, Search Console, PPC dashboards, SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush). A digital marketing qualification is preferred.
Additional skills such as basic HTML/CSS knowledge, familiarity with data privacy laws (GDPR), and design tools like Adobe Creative Suite are advantageous but not essential.
