Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Duty Team

Responsibilities of this role:
* Provide safeguarding oversight for complex cases, ensuring concerns are identified and acted on in line with statutory guidance and council policy.
* Lead on complex early help and Child in Need assessments, analysing risk and determining appropriate intervention pathways.
* Deliver and coordinate targeted family support, including crisis response and intensive intervention for high-need families.
* Offer professional guidance, support and reflective practice to Social Workers and Family Support Workers within the team.
* Hold and manage a complex caseload, contributing to child protection processes and supporting legal pathways where required.
* Work collaboratively with children, young people and families, maintaining strong professional boundaries and promoting sustained positive change.
* Lead multi-agency planning, ensuring effective partnership working and coordinated service delivery.
* Prepare high-quality reports for internal and external meetings and maintain accurate, defensible case records.
* Chair or lead Child in Need meetings, multi-agency reviews and planning discussions as delegated by management.
* Promote best practice, ensuring all work complies with legal, policy and practice standards.
* Support the development of the team by modelling good practice, mentoring colleagues and contributing to training.
* Work independently in the community, including home visits, lone working and crisis response.
* Undertake continuous professional development and additional duties appropriate to the senior role.
Requirements of this role:
* Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
