Overview
The Tameside & Glossop District Nursing Service are currently looking to recruit a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse. Our service works across the 5 neighbourhoods of Tameside. You will be allocated a team base upon appointment and will have the support of our induction facilitator alongside a designated 'buddy'. Newly qualified applicants will also undertake a preceptorship programme. The role may require you to work across the localities as a service need requirement.
Responsibilities
* The post holder will work within a Multi-Disciplinary Team in the Community and after a period of induction will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs and development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, both for a specific group of clients as the named care provider and in supporting the care of all client groups within the community.
* You will act in accordance with locally agreed standards of care and ensure that clinical procedures are correctly carried out.
* As an experienced nurse and as appropriate, you will co-ordinate the caseload in the absence of the team/senior lead ensuring that effective communication is maintained at all times, providing support for junior staff within the team.
* You will play a key role in the supervision and assessment of pre and post basic learners and unregistered staff providing a teaching role and acting as named supervisor.
