An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sous Chef to join the brigade at a well-established country house hotel in Tarporley, Cheshire.

This role offers genuine progression for a strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up, or an existing Junior Sous looking to refine their leadership skills within a respected hotel operation.

The Role
As Junior Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
You will:
* Assist in leading service across restaurant and event operations
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
* Support and supervise junior members of the brigade
* Ensure strong mise en place discipline and smooth section management
* Assist with stock control, ordering and GP awareness
* Uphold food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance standards
* Step up to lead service when required
This is a hands-on role within a busy hotel kitchen, requiring organisation, pace and attention to detail.

* Experience as a Junior Sous or strong Senior CDP within a quality hotel or restaurant
* Confident running sections and supporting brigade leadership
* Calm under pressure and organised during busy service periods
* Strong grounding in fresh food cooking
* Professional, positive attitude with a team-first mindset
