At Fanhams Hotel in Ware, we are looking for a Food and Beverage Supervisor to be responsible for leading the shift, supervising the front of house Food and Beverage team, and supporting the Food & Beverage Management team in the daily operations of the department, including the Bar, Lounge and Terrace, Restaurant, and Conference & Banqueting. If you have a passion for good food and drink, this may be the role for you.
Role Responsibilities
* Ensure a warm and welcoming experience for all guests and visitors dining in the F&B outlets.
* Supervise the food and beverage team, ensuring high standards are maintained.
* Assist with ordering and controlling stock to ensure availability.
* Work as part of a team, constantly evaluating, training, and improving the guest experience.
* Support the welfare and motivation of the F&B team.
* Attend regular team meetings to ensure effective communication.
* Manage cost of sales to maximize departmental profit.
* Stay updated with industry trends, systems, and practices to improve profitability.
* Encourage upselling and on-selling to increase revenue.
* Liaise with sales teams to coordinate events and billing.
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience in a Food and Beverage environment at a Chef de Rang/Head Waiter/ess level.
* Supervisory experience is advantageous.
* Ability to deliver high standards of customer service in a busy environment.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
* Positive attitude and smart appearance.
* Strong communication skills.
* Highly organized with good knowledge of food and drinks.
