Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Domestic Abuse Housing Outreach Worker. Based within the Neighbourhood Relations Team and reporting to the Partnership and Inclusion Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing housing related outreach advice and support to victims of domestic abuse with the aim of overcoming barriers to housing and preventing homelessness.

Responsibilities
* Provide housing related outreach advice and support to victims of domestic abuse to overcome housing barriers and prevent homelessness.
* Contribute to multi-agency arrangements for victims of domestic abuse, including information sharing and safety planning.
* Support safety planning and increase security in homes where needed.
* Communicate effectively, manage time and organisational priorities, and work with relevant partners to deliver outcomes.
Qualifications
* 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above, including Maths and English, or relevant experience.
* Knowledge of IT packages and a good understanding of issues relating to social housing.
* Experience of working with people experiencing domestic abuse and an understanding of safeguarding practice and the challenges victims face, particularly in relation to housing.
* A full driving licence and access to a car is desirable.
