The Role
The Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting continuous improvement across the finance function. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone proactive and adaptable, with strong technical skills and the confidence to work autonomously.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting a 5‑day month‑end close
* Posting journals including accruals and prepayments
* Performing balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany
* Completing VAT returns and assisting with statutory reporting
* Supporting year‑end audit and liaising with external advisors
* Assisting with ad‑hoc projects
* Building strong relationships across the business and providing financial insight
The Ideal Candidate
* Part‑qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience
* Previous experience in management accounting within industry (SME or manufacturing preferred)
* Genuinely strong Excel skills
* Power BI experience desirable
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage non‑finance stakeholders
* Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
