DC Personnel are recruiting for a Machine Operator for our client a specialist manufacturer in the Desford area of Leicestershire.
Hours: 7:30- 4:30 Monday to Thursday & 7:30-12:30 Friday. 39 hours per week
Pay: £25.5k - £29.5k per year DOE (A minimum of 2 years' experience to achieve higher rate)
Full time Permanent role
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to operate and maintain CNC and manual machines to produce high-precision parts and components.
You will:
•Have a background in engineering
•Operated 3 Axis Manual Milling machines and 4 Axis CNC
•Use of various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials
•Executing works orders to the required specified quality, accuracy and defined output rate.
•Physical lifting required due to the nature of the product.
•Quality Assurance of components and finished goods by inspection of own work and others.
•Maintain working area to a high level of housekeeping.
Knowledge & Skills:
•Previous machinist experience ideal
•Engineering Level 2 and understanding of CAD is preferable.
•Good level of literacy and numeracy.
•Able to read technical drawings and perform measurements.
•Basic computer skills.
•Workshop and production health & safety practices.

•Accurate and with a good attention to detail
