Job Title: Registered Manager
Location: Kendal, Cumbria
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Meridian Business Support is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Registered Manager to join our clients,Ofsted-registered childrens home based in the scenic town of Kendal, Cumbria.
The Home provides both home and education for students aged 1119 with Aspergers Syndrome (High Functioning Autism) and Complex Needs. With exceptional facilities and a nurturing environment, we empower young people to develop independence, gain qualifications, and achieve their full potential.
About the Role: As Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the senior leadership team, overseeing the care and development of young people and leading a dedicated team of assistant managers and support staff. You will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring a high standard of care in line with Ofsted requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a residential childrens home, ensuring a safe, happy, and nurturing environment.
* Inspire and support staff through effective leadership, mentoring, and performance management.
* Champion safeguarding practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team (education, therapy, clinical) to deliver holistic care.
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies, professionals, and families.
* Support young people in developing life skills, independence, and positive outcomes.
What Were Looking For:
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within a childrens residential setting.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management Childrens Residential Care (or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks (Childrens Homes Regulations, Ofsted).
* Experience supporting children with Autism and complex behavioural needs.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* A compassionate, resilient, and proactive approach to care.
