It’s an exciting time to join our Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE) team as we continue our transformation journey. As Organisational Resilience Manager reporting to the Head of Quality, Risk, Compliance and Assurance, you will provide expertise and guidance in relation to legislation, regulation, and industry standards. You will lead the development and implementation of Nexus’ organisational resilience framework and management system whilst working closely with key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation. You will be part of a high performing team, delivering ambitious plans that really make a difference to our people, our customers and our region.
What does the role entail:
* Contributing towards the delivery of the QHSSE Strategy to ensure Nexus’ QHSSE objectives are met.
* Act as the organisation’s subject matter expert on organisational resilience, advising on strategies to enhance emergency preparedness, crisis and business continuity management.
* Design of policy, strategy and operational frameworks that allow us to prepare for, respond to, and adaptively recover from adverse events using a ‘continuous improvement’ approach.
* Develop and oversee delivery of a risk-based annual test case plan, including testing strategy, scope, objectives, and validation of performance, with learning reviews.
* Conduct analysis to identify emerging trends and threats to the organisation across thematic areas and geopolitical landscape; develop and implement control actions within organisational resilience processes.
* Ensure organisational resilience policies and practices are informed by industry research and aligned with standards, legal considerations, and best practices, namely BS65000 and ISO 22301 standards.
* Act as the primary contact for Nexus for key external stakeholders such as the North East Combined Authority, local authorities, emergency services, regulators, and transport operators.
What we require from you:
* A formal qualification in emergency planning, crisis management, and/or business continuity management.
* Experience at middle or senior leadership level, with the ability to think strategically and make autonomous decisions related to people and business matters.
* Extensive knowledge of emergency planning, crisis and business continuity management, and organisational resilience in complex organizations.
* Proven experience managing and delivering complex projects with limited supervision.
* Experience in managing and influencing others, organizing workloads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrate values and behaviors that prioritize dignity and respect, and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion.
