Job Title: ALN Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Location: NP12 Area
Salary: £89.38 per day
Start Date: October 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to pupils with ALN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and emotional/behavioural needs.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
* Support pupils in both 1:1 and small group settings.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
Requirements
* Experience working with children with ALN in a school or care setting.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
