Overview
Our client, a leading UK-based technology consultancy, is seeking a Service Designer – Consultant to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects across government and commercial sectors, designing user‑centred solutions that drive meaningful change.
You’ll work collaboratively to identify and solve complex service challenges, designing seamless end‑to‑end journeys that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
Responsibilities
* Investigate, define, and design end‑to‑end service journeys across front stage and back stage processes.
* Analyse and synthesise complex information into actionable insights and recommendations.
* Develop artefacts that evidence existing and future service systems and user experiences.
* Create and test prototypes to validate new service concepts.
* Design and facilitate workshops and co‑design sessions with clients and stakeholders.
* Articulate tensions between technical, business, and user needs in a clear and diplomatic manner.
* Ensure work aligns with quality, environmental, and information security policies and procedures.
* Advocate for user‑centred design principles and demonstrate the value of the design process.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Service Designer across complex and multidisciplinary projects.
* Strong ability to analyse, synthesise, and communicate complex information effectively.
* Experience designing to UK Government Service Standards and familiarity with the GDS assessment process.
* Experience working within agile delivery teams.Ability to design and facilitate collaborative workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.

Working Arrangements
This is a hybrid role, with time split between client sites, company hubs, and home working. Travel across the UK may be required, depending on project and client needs.
