Merseyside Society for Deaf People is looking for a Support Worker to join our friendly team, where you will provide vital support to Deaf and Deaf-Blind adults living in Liverpool, Wirral and Sefton. You will deliver a person-centred service that helps make everyday life easier for our clients, supporting them in their homes and communities. Applicants must know British Sign Language and must be experienced in Deaf Blind communication to be able to undertake this role. The successful candidate will be responsible to: • Support clients to live independently in the community • Support clients with their individual needs as per their support plans • Support clients with shopping • Assist clients with accessing services and activities • Assist clients with translation of letters and telephone calls Essential Criteria for this role: • Experienced in Deafblind communication skills • Ability to guide Deafblind clients • Cheerful and patient attitude to work • Excellent interpersonal skills • British Sign Language skills • Understanding of safeguarding • Driver with access to a car, which is insured for business use Desirable Criteria for this role: • BSL Level 2 qualification Salary £15,600Closing date 31/10/2025hours Part-time 25 hours per week
