Overview
We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of our friendly team. You will work within the Orthotics Appliance Office to provide a smooth running clinic and Orthotics service to patients, including undertaking administration tasks and purchasing goods from suppliers through hospital ordering systems. Responsibilities
* Handle post and answer telephone calls from patients and staff.
* Book or cancel appointments through the Medway system.
* Prepare clinics and ensure all goods have been received and are ready for the Orthotist's clinic each day.
* Process, purchase and rotate stock or goods needed for patients to collect or be fitted in clinic.
* Process orders from the clinic and ensure items are purchased with sufficient lead time for the patient’s next appointment.
* Direct liaison with the Orthotist regarding patients, referrals, order queries and clinic queries; process orders from clinic accordingly.
* Chase missing orders and outstanding purchase order numbers with suppliers; raise concerns regarding damaged goods where necessary.
* Direct liaison with MSK management to raise queries or concerns where necessary.
* Attend departmental or team meetings as required.
