Candidate required: Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Permanent Start date: ASAP Industry: Construction Professionals South Location: Ascot The role & about the client: ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a bespoke residential contractor based in Ascot, seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a close-knit company known for delivering high-end residential projects across the Berkshire and Surrey areas. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the commercial function, assisting with cost management across a range of bespoke homes and residential refurbishments. This role offers excellent long-term progression and the chance to work on some truly unique and premium builds. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tenders for high-end residential projects * Supporting the management of subcontractor packages, valuations, and variations * Assisting in the procurement process and the preparation of contracts * Monitoring costs and reporting on project progress and financial performance * Working closely with the Senior QS and Project Managers to ensure accurate cost control * Attending site visits and liaising with clients, consultants, and suppliers The ideal candidate will have/be: * Experience working on residential construction projects – bespoke or high-end preferred * A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field * Strong numeracy and analytical skills * A proactive and detail-oriented approach * Excellent communication and teamworking abilities * Familiarity with relevant industry software (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam, or similar) Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) Location: Ascot How to apply: Please send an up-to-date CV in strict confidence.
