Fawkes & Reece South are working with an established civil engineering contractor who are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to collaborate with private clients and local authorities on highways and infrastructure schemes in the South of England.
Responsibilities
* Lead commercially on NEC based projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Accurate monthly forecasting.
* Challenge resources and costs.
* Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors, inviting them to tender and engaging with the supply chain.
* Produce compensation events and monitor change control.
* Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with Contracts Managers and Site Agents regarding price, proven history, availability etc.
* Notify in writing both successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in a timely manner.
* Produce and process formal subcontract documents and certify interim and final payments and final subcontract account.
Qualifications
* Degree-qualified or equivalent.
* Ideally having previously worked on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
* Good working knowledge and experience with the NEC contracts.
* Have the right to work in the UK.
