Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week £60,000The NRSWA Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving the operation of the highway network within the borough. The role focuses on minimising disruption, ensuring road space availability, and maintaining network reliability. This includes systematic reviews of highway operations in collaboration with stakeholders and in accordance with relevant legislation such as the Highways Act, New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA), and the Traffic Management Act (TMA).Key ResponsibilitiesOversee road space bookings, traffic management planning, and coordination of utility and contractor works via Street ManagerEnsure full compliance with network management duties under the Traffic Management ActLead the Street Works team to deliver efficient daily operations, including emergency responseMonitor financial performance including permits, licences, charges, and cost centre activityBuild and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including local authorities, utility providers, councillors, resident groups, and industry partnersProduce management reports, performance data, and statutory returns related to streetworks and network occupancyIdentify and manage operational risks, embedding safety and quality standards across all activitiesSupport continuous improvement of systems, policies, and procedures related to streetworks and network reliabilityRequirements for NRSWA ManagerProficient in relevant software, including Street ManagerExperience working in partnership with public, private, and community sector organisationsHNC or Degree in Civil Engineering or ConstructionStreetworks Qualification Registration (SWQR) requiredFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visitsIf this role has taken your interest, or you have any questions, apply with your latest CV and I will be in touch to discuss the next steps of your application.
