As a Scrum Master, you’ll enable high‑performing engineering teams to deliver complex capabilities at pace—supporting mission‑critical systems developed within our Future Combat Air (FCA) Line of Business.
Your Impact
Part of the Electronics Division, FCA leads the delivery and integration of advanced electronic systems for the global defence market. Working as a Prime Contracting Office for major programmes such as Team Tempest and the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) Acquisition Programme, the team also develops innovative products that support the architecture and integration of large, complex systems of systems.
As a Scrum Master, your impact will be felt across our engineering teams. You’ll create the conditions for delivery by enabling collaboration, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. By helping teams deliver new features and enhancements quickly and continuously, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our technology evolves at the speed required to support operational success.
What you will do
* You'll join a creative team developing solutions for new and existing platforms.
* You’ll facilitate Scrum ceremonies (stand‑ups, planning, retrospectives and reviews/demos).
* You’ll be part of Program Increment planning.
* You’ll be responsible for collation of flow metrics.
* You'll be mentoring, coaching and teaching engineers as an expert in scrum and agile best practices.
* You'll be collaborating with your Product Owner and the development team to shape the product vision and roadmap.
* You'll be supported to develop your skills, reach your goals and become better every day.
* You’ll be the Servant Leader for the development team.
* Depending on your level of experience you may lead our Scrum Master Community and coach/mentor a number of other Scrum Masters.
* Depending on your project you may present the development team status at Agile Release Train sync meetings to the Release Train Engineer and other scrum teams.
What you'll bring
The only skill we need you to have is experience as a Scrum Master, even if not within defence.
* Coaching and mentoring
* Knowledge of the SAFe framework
* Experience as a Scrum Master in a larger scale project
* Knowledge of flow framework and metrics
* Continuous improvement
* Establishing high performing agile teams

This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
