Pensions Team Leader £44,075 - £49,282 2-Year Fixed Term Contract Full Time (Hybrid) We’re looking for an experienced LGPS Pensions Team Leader to lead and develop a team delivering high‑quality pension administration services. About the role You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership of a pensions administration team, ensuring workloads are effectively managed, performance targets are met and LGPS regulations are applied consistently. You’ll play a key role in service delivery, staff development and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities Lead, motivate and support a pensions administration team Manage workflows, priorities and resource planning to meet KPIs, statutory deadlines and internal team targets Oversee the delivery of accurate LGPS pension calculations and administration Support recruitment, training, performance management and development of team members Monitor and report on performance, compliance and service standards Contribute to service improvement, change initiatives and business planning What we’re looking for Proven experience leading or supervising teams Experience driving performance and accountability through structured performance frameworks Confident managing high‑volume, deadline‑driven workloads Strong decision‑making, organisational and communication skills Ability to lead change and drive service improvements For full details of the responsibilities and requirements of this role please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification.
