Role profile of the Coachbuilder
As an experiencedand skilled Coachbuilderyou will work as part of team of coachbuilders, repairing and constructing the Bodywork of a varied fleet of vehicles. Using your skills, you will be required weld and fabricate, restore and repair accident damaged vehicles using a variety of materials including, steel, aluminium, fiberglass and other composite materials.
WHAT YOULL DO
Key Responsibilities of the Coachbuilder
1. Design, fabricate, and assemble vehicle bodies and frames, including custom parts and panels
2. Restore and repair vehicles to original design while maintaining functionality and safety
3. Utilize traditional and modern metalworking tools (e.g., welding, cutting, shaping, and riveting) to build and modify vehicle bodies and structural components.
4. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both yourself, and your colleagues
5. Work alongside other skilled tradespeople, such as engineers, painters, upholsterers and electricians, to ensure a seamless and successful vehicle body repair and restoration
