About the role Based on-site 5 days per week in Great Dunmow Essex, This is an integral role within the Finance Department, reporting to the Finance Manager. Providing well presented, clear, accurate and timely management reporting along with analysis and commentary to assist with key decision making. Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities of the role Provide accurate and timely management reporting Assist in production of financial statements including P&L accounts, balance sheet, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries Complete daily bank reconciliations Maintain the fixed asset register, calculating and posting depreciation. Produce and post month and year end journals, including prepayments and accruals Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations Collating weekly payroll data for efficiency reporting Processing the monthly payroll Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process Updating budget holders on monthly spend Process the weekly stock take reconciliations and variances Liaising with auditors and accountants when required and at Financial Year End Ensure all HMRC deadlines are met and reported accurately incl VAT Returns Support the Finance Manager on key projects Providing cover and support to other areas of the finance department when required Provide basic internal IT support/ contact for our IT consultants as necessary We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience: Part Qualified AAT / QBE minimum 2 years management accounting experience Accurate with excellent attention to detail Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills Able to prioritise work and meet deadlines Organised, self motivated and pro-active Intermediate excel Previous use of an accounting package (Ideally Sage 50 or similar) We offer a competitive salary and, following successful completion of probation, we provide Private Medical and Dental Insurance.
