ACCOUNTANT – FMCG / CONSUMER GOODS
Location: Wokingham – 5 days in office – Permanent
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 + benefits
Are you a hands-on accountant who loves getting close to the numbers and making a real impact?
This isn’t a “sit in the background” finance role. You’ll work directly with a trusted CFO in a growing consumer brand, helping shape finance as the business scales. You’ll own month-end processes, streamline reporting, and get exposure to every corner of the business — from cashflow to management accounts.

THE BUSINESS

THE ROLE
You’ll be a key part of the finance function, helping the business scale through:
* Month-end preparation and close
* Variance analysis and presenting results
* P&L and balance sheet reviews
* Reconciliations, journals, and ledger control
* Management accounts preparation
* Year-end support, audit, and statutory accounting
* Cashflow support and invoicing when needed
* Process improvements and streamlining finance operations
* Working in Xero to simplify reporting and controls
YOUR PROFILE
* Part-Qualified / Finalist Accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
* SME experience, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods
* Strong month-end and technical accounting skills
* Comfortable with pace, change, and growth
* Confident using Xero (or similar cloud platforms)
* Positive, proactive, and collaborative mindset
* Happy to be office-based, close to the team
