Senior Associate Electrical Engineer – Glasgow
Salary: £63,250 – £79,500 + £5,580 Allowance + Travel Allowance
A senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate Electrical Engineer to oversee complex building services projects and play a key role in shaping electrical engineering delivery across the region. This position is suited to someone who can lead multidisciplinary teams, act as a trusted client partner, and drive technical and commercial performance.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of major schemes, ensuring high-quality electrical engineering solutions across diverse building environments. The role involves client leadership, delivery oversight, team development, and contributing to continuous improvement across design processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical design across large, multi-disciplinary projects
Act as the primary client contact for electrical and wider engineering issues Support bid preparation and contribute to securing new work Coordinate all engineering disciplines on medium to large-sized schemes
Take responsibility for profitable project delivery and commercial performance
Represent the engineering team at key meetings and stakeholder sessions
Delegate, manage, and review work produced by others
Support the development and performance of engineers within the office
Monitor project expenditure and report regularly to senior management
What You Need
Strong technical background in electrical engineering within the built environment
Chartered status or equivalent recognised professional qualification
Ability to manage complex client relationships and navigate challenging situations
Ability to lead teams, motivate others, and influence stakeholders
Proficiency with relevant electrical engineering software and IT tools Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
Good understanding of complementary MEP disciplines
