Job Title: Transport Administrator Reports To: Transport Operations Manager Location: Liverpool Hours: Full-time (Monday- Friday) Salary: £26,000 Role Overview We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to support our Transport Operations Manager and wider logistics team. This role will involve handling day-to-day administration tasks, maintaining accurate records, liaising with drivers and customers, and ensuring the smooth running of transport operations. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Transport Operations Manager and wider transport team. Maintain accurate records including delivery schedules, driver hours, and vehicle compliance documents. Input and update data on transport management systems (TMS). Assist with scheduling, route planning, and allocation of drivers/vehicles. Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, paperwork, and compliance requirements. Handle telephone and email enquiries from customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. Prepare and distribute transport-related reports and performance data. Support with compliance checks including tachograph reports, driver hours, and vehicle service records. Raise purchase orders, process invoices, and assist with cost tracking where required. General office duties including filing, scanning, and document control. Skills & Experience Required Previous administration experience (transport/logistics industry desirable but not essential). Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office (Excel in particular). Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask. A proactive problem-solver with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
