Supported Living Manager

37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday - 9am - 5pm

Are you an experienced care professional with a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred support? We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive supported living Manager to oversee two unique services, ensuring outstanding outcomes for the people we support while leading and developing motivated teams.

This is an exciting opportunity as a supported living manager to manage both a newly established support package and an established supported living service, requiring a flexible and adaptable leader who can confidently oversee services of different sizes and support needs.

As a Supported Living Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of two of our supported living services. You will ensure that high-quality care is provided to our residents in a person-centered and holistic manner. Your role will involve:

• Leading, managing, and developing a team of support staff.

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

• Overseeing care plans and risk assessments to meet the individual needs of each resident.

• Building strong relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders.

• Managing budgets and resources efficiently.

• Promoting a positive and inclusive environment that respects diversity and individual choice.

Supported Living Manager Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management:

• Provide strong leadership to your team, ensuring staff are well-supported and motivated.

• Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and training sessions.

Quality Assurance:

• Maintain high standards of care, ensuring services comply with CQC regulations and other relevant frameworks.

Person-Centered Care:

• Develop and implement personalized care plans that reflect the individual needs, preferences, and goals of each resident.

Communication:

• Foster effective communication within the team, with residents, families, and external professionals.

Safeguarding:

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents, implementing safeguarding policies and procedures effectively.

Financial Management:

• Oversee the financial aspects of the service, including budgeting, invoicing, and resource allocation.

Supported Living Manager Qualifications & Experience

Essential supported living manager qualities:

• A minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role within social care.

• A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care. Strong leadership and management skills.

• Excellent understanding of autism, mental health issues, and learning disabilities.

• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Desirable supported living manager qualities:

• Previous experience in a supported living environment.

• Knowledge of CIW standards and regulations.

• Experience in staff training and development.

This is a wonderfully varied role where you will build genuine relationships with the people you care for and your staff team.

Supported living manager

Cwrt Yr Ysgol (Neath)- A new support package providing dedicated support to one female individual with autism and anxiety who lives in her own home.

Success in this service relies on maintaining consistency, routine and structure, as changes can be a significant trigger for anxiety. The supported living manager will be responsible for ensuring support plans are implemented consistently, staff are well-trained and supported, and the individual's needs remain at the centre of all decision-making.

Swansea Road (Swansea) - A service supporting four female individuals with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, dysphagia, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.

This service requires a supported living manager with strong leadership to ensure high-quality care delivery, effective risk management and a positive, structured environment. The successful candidate will also need to confidently manage challenging or conflicting situations while maintaining a calm and solutions-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities of a supported living manager

Lead, motivate and develop teams across both services.

Ensure the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred support.

Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and safeguarding.

Promote consistency, structure and routine to achieve positive outcomes for the people supported.

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.

Manage staffing, recruitment, rotas, supervisions and performance management.

Drive continuous improvement and service development.

Ensure support plans, risk assessments and care records are accurate and up to date.

Support teams to confidently manage complex needs and challenging situations.

Desirable previous management or supervisory experience within health and social care.

Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex health needs.

Ability to manage multiple priorities across both a small and larger service.

Confidence in building positive and professional relationships with families and external professionals.

A proactive, solution-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
