Reporting directly to the Operational Estates Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing a diverse range of engineering plant, equipment, and services across our Trust properties. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring that our facilities support the delivery of exceptional patient care through reliable and efficient engineering operations.What you'll do:Manage the site wide steam distribution and condense systems, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.Oversee the inspection and maintenance of pressure vessels in accordance with Pressure Systems Regulations.Manage all air conditioning plant and systems across the estate.Ensure Legionella control measures are implemented and compliant with HTMs and HSE L8 guidance.Act as an Authorised Person for Medical Gases and oversee associated safety procedures.Coordinate major infrastructure shutdowns in collaboration with affected departments and permit to work systems.Manage external contractors for maintenance and project works, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.What you bring:Qualified to at least HNC level or equivalent in mechanical engineeringProven experience in maintaining mechanical building servicesQualified as an Authorised Person (Medical Gases)Previous experience managing steam raising plant and leading teamsStrong knowledge of electrical engineering, health and safety legislation, and legionella controlSkilled in contract management, budgeting, and report writingExcellent communication, planning, and decision making skills, with computer literacy in Microsoft OfficeWhat we offer:Working at Sodexo isn't just a job — it's a chance to make a difference every day.
