Your new role
This is a temporary position expected to run until August/September, supporting the finance function through a critical period including year-end and audit.You will take responsibility for key areas of the management accounts process, including:
1. Supporting month-end reporting and producing financial reports for senior stakeholders
2. Managing reconciliations, including bank, stock and balance sheet items
3. Reviewing financial data, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues proactively
4. Supporting and playing a key role in the external audit process
5. Providing guidance and oversight within the finance team where required
6. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can take ownership quickly and add value from day one.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Previous experience in a Management Accountant role.
8. Strong understanding of month-end, year-end and audit processes
9. Confident preparing and posting journals and managing reconciliations
10. Experience working with finance systems (Navision experience advantageous)
11. Ability to work independently and hit the ground running in a busy environment
12. Strongmunication skills with the ability to liaise across the business
