Job Description
Lead the digital and data transformation that will reshape Selwood Housing's future. Selwood Housing is embarking on one of the most significant modernisation programmes in our history. As our new Group director of data & digital, you will play a pivotal role in shaping what our organisation looks like in the years ahead – strengthening our resilience, transforming our digital landscape, and building a culture where insight and innovation power every decision.
About the role
This is a rare opportunity to lead a multi‑year, organisation‑wide digital and data transformation. Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive and sitting on the Executive team, you will set the strategic vision for Selwood's technology, data and digital services – ensuring they are secure, scalable, well‑governed and centred around delivering excellent customer and colleague experiences.
You will lead four core areas:
* IT Infrastructure & Operations
* Business Performance & Insight
* IT Development (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, custom builds)
* Business Analysis & Digital Enablement
Across these teams, you'll deliver:

* strong governance, cyber security and architectural standards
* joined‑up technology that empowers colleagues and simplifies how we work
You'll work closely with the Executive team, Board and senior leaders to ensure our digital roadmap aligns with corporate strategy, regulatory expectations and customer outcomes. You'll champion agile, user‑centred design, drive continuous improvement, and embed a culture where digital innovation and insight are part of everyday working life.

* Senior leadership experience across digital, data, technology or transformation.
* The ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and deliver organisation‑wide changes.
* Deep technical credibility in cloud, data governance, cyber security, enterprise architecture, analytics and digital product development.
* Strategic thinking – turning long‑term priorities into actionable plans that strengthen resilience and improve customer outcomes.
* Strong governance and risk management skills.
* A collaborative leadership style that builds trust and shared ownership.
* Exceptional communication skills, translating complex topics into clear insight.
* A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and modern ways of working.
