B&M Retail are looking for a field-based Security Supervisor to join our Profit Protection Team. The role will support our Regional Profit Protection Manager by supervising guarding provision, ensuring the physical security of our stores, and adhering to all security policies and procedures. The role also involves measuring and managing the effectiveness of a manned guarding team.
This role is 40 hours per week and requires flexibility to work 5/7 days.
Key Accountabilities
Physical security
* Recruit & train Security Officers / Store Detectives, conducting induction and training programs
* Manage the performance of Security Officers/Store Detectives
* Visit stores to ensure security duties are performed to standard and provide additional training as needed
* Identify signs of theft, security issues, and procedural breaches, and report findings
* Conduct out-of-hours searches and cover stores as a Security Operative when required
Admin duties
* Record incident reports from Security Officers/Stores Detectives and Duty Managers
* Input weekly reports onto the shared drive
* Produce security rotas prioritizing vulnerable or targeted stores based on risk assessment
* Conduct quarterly Security Officer Audits for compliance
* Perform written investigations, disciplinary actions, and note-taking in line with HR policies when required
