Job Purpose

New West End Company is seeking a commercially minded and delivery-focused Events Manager to lead the design and execution of a high-impact B2B events programme.

This role is responsible for developing and delivering a cohesive calendar of member, partner and stakeholder events that strengthen engagement, reinforce New West End Company’s reputation and support campaigning and commercial priorities. It includes an integrated annual B2B events programme aligned to corporate priorities, campaigning objectives and member value.

The postholder will own the end-to-end management of events; from concept and strategy through to execution and evaluation, ensuring every event delivers measurable value and reflects the organisation’s positioning. The Events Manager will lead event strategy and execution across in-person, hybrid and digital formats.

This is a purely events role which will work closely with Membership, Marketing and Communications to ensure events are strategically aligned, commercially relevant and effectively promoted.


Responsibilities


Event Strategy & Programme Development

* Support cross-functional event delivery across the organisation, including assisting with B2C and destination-focused campaigns where events are used to engage wider audiences
* Develop and maintain a strategic events calendar that supports campaigning priorities, member engagement and stakeholder influence
* Design event concepts that align with organisational messaging and policy positions
* Identify opportunities to leverage events to strengthen relationships with members, partners, government and industry stakeholders
* Develop tailored event strategies for priority projects and partnerships (e.g. Westminster City Council, GLA, OSDC)


Planning & Delivery

* Lead end-to-end event management including planning, logistics, venue sourcing, supplier procurement, speaker coordination and on-site delivery
* Manage third-party agencies, suppliers and venues to ensure high-quality execution and brand consistency
* Oversee contracts, procurement and supplier negotiations to ensure value for money
* Ensure seamless attendee experience from invitation through to post-event follow-up


Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Work closely with Membership to ensure events respond to member needs and drive engagement
* Partner with Marketing and Communications to ensure clear messaging, strong attendance and effective promotion across channels
* Ensure events support broader campaigns, policy objectives and corporate narrative
* Use member and stakeholder data to inform targeting, segmentation and event design
* Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to measure event performance against objectives and KPIs
* Analyse attendance data, feedback and engagement metrics to assess ROI and inform future planning
* Use CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) and booking platforms to manage invitations, responses and reporting
* Provide quarterly reporting on performance, outcomes and impact to the Director of Communications
* Proactively identify and manage risks that may impact delivery of the annual programme
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, data protection and procurement requirements


Requirements

* Strong technical competence in delivering seamless in-person and virtual events, including platform management, AV coordination and digital tools
* Strong project management capability with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
* Experience managing event budgets and supplier procurement processes
* Confident working across internal teams to ensure joined-up delivery
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder engagement capability
* High attention to detail and strong organisational discipline
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint and Excel)
* Experience using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) and event booking/email platforms
* Ability to analyse data and use insights to improve event performance
* Calm and solutions-focused under pressure
* Professional presence when representing the organisation at events
