Are you a passionate historian available for an immediate start? We are currently recruiting for an ambitious History Teacher to join a high-performing "All-through" Academy in the Thamesmead area.
This is a long-term temporary assignment designed for an educator who can hit the ground running and maintain high academic standards through to the May half-term.
The Assignment
* Start Date: ASAP
* Duration: Until May Half-Term (Potential for extension)
* Pay Rate: £150 - £200 per day PAYE
* Curriculum: KS3 and KS4 History (GCSE)
* The Environment: A disciplined, supportive school with a "culture of ambition" and a strong focus on staff well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, well-sequenced History lessons that challenge pupils of all abilities.
* Utilise effective behaviour management strategies in line with the school's structured policy.
* Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure GCSE cohorts remain on track.
* Collaborate with a vibrant Humanities department to share resources and best practice.
What You'll Need
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Subject Specialism: A degree in History or a closely related field.
* Proven Track Record: Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum at secondary level.
* Availability: Ability to commence the role immediately.
