About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and practically skilled Overhead Crane / Lifting Gear Engineer with an electrical and mechanical mindset.
This is a field based role withing usually within a 50 mile radius of Burton Upon Trent, carrying out inspections, servicing and minor repairs on overhead cranes and lifting gear in line with LOLER regulations.
Whilst prior LOLER experience is desirable, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair basic electrical faults on overhead crane systems
* Perform mechanical maintenance tasks such as changing load ropes and rope guides.
* Carry out inspections and testing of lifting equipment in compliance with LOLER.
* Support other engineers on site and at the company's workshop when required.
* Complete written inspection reports and service documentation accurately.
Requirements
* Electrical and mechanical aptitude
* Previous experience with cranes or lifting equipment desirable
* Knowledge of LOLER regulations desirable
* Full UK driving license - essential for site visits
* Reasonably fit and able to carry out physically active work
* Self- motivated, dependable, and willing to learn - full training will be provided
