Overview
We are growing our Installations Team to meet the ever-increasing needs of our expanding business. To help us achieve this we are looking for an Installation Supervisor to supervise and support our installations team and customers. Based out of our Workington branch, this role will predominately be based out on our customer sites with the occasional visits into the branch and other branches across the UK.
Responsibilities
* Lead by example and oversee all direct and indirect workers on site, including third parties employed by Selwood.
* Ensure RAMS are briefed and adhered to by your team and verify that equipment is fit for purpose before installation begins.
* Prioritize Health & Safety and act to stop any unsafe acts.
* Be flexible with a call-out rota and overtime to support the team; role involves working outside of a normal 40-hour week.
* On site, install pipework and supervise the day-to-day workload of Installations Operatives and subcontractors.
* Assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles; maintain fitness level to perform physically demanding tasks and meet safety expectations.
Essential – Qualifications & Experience
* Aptitude to work on construction sites with a good understanding of onsite safety.
* Ability to adapt to challenging situations with a positive approach.
* Flexibility with working hours and availability for on-call 1 in 3 rota; occasional away-from-home work.
* Full UK driving license with less than 6 points.
* Willing and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, lone working, and with sewage.
Preferred Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Site Supervision.
* SSSTS – Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme.
* IOSH Managing Safety.
* Forklift licence (advantageous).
* CSCS gold card holder (advantageous).
* National Water Hygiene Card (advantageous).
* Experience in hire or water-related industry (not essential).
