Your new role
1. Assist with the roll-out of the Health and Safety Strategy
2. Delivering training and toolbox talks internally to staff on manual handling, ladder safety and fire marshal training any other training requirements as needed
3. Assist with the investigation of accidents and incidents and liaison with the Business Continuity Manager around emergency preparedness
4. Assist with the creation of risk assessments for activities and events and maintain the risk assessment library
5. Support the catering teams with food safety advice and inspections (approx. 2 days work per month).
6. Carrying out internal audits of premises in the UK and Ireland (approx. 1 audit a month) and follow-up visits where necessary, driving forward actions from the fire risk assessments and H&S inspections carried out by our consultant and the office safety inspections from site Health and Safety Coordinators
7. Liaising with all Health and Safety Coordinators, Corporate Real Estate Services, landlords of sites and other Operations staff with regards to safety improvements and training performance improvement
8. Give workstation assessment and expectant mother risk assessment advice where required and assist with the administration of the hybrid worker online DSE queries escalated from the administrators.
9. Assisting with the development and review of the Health and Safety Policy and all Arrangements
10. Running the Health and Safetymittee and following up actions from it
11. Maintain a record of all safety management documentation to ensure it remains up to date.
What you'll need to succeed
12. NEBOSH General or equivalent health and safety qualification
13. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
14. Strong written and verbalmunication skills, along with demonstrable presentation skills
15. Excellent MS Office IT skills, including use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
16. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and make decisions based onpetent knowledge.
17. Aprehensive knowledge of current health and safety legislation and relevant standards, food safety requirements, accident investigation, audits, inspections and creation of risk assessments.
18. Proven track record of providing professional, technical and practical health and safety advice and training to a group.
