The successful candidate will work in the hospital's busy kitchen taking on kitchen portering duties of a routine nature – putting away food provisions, general cleaning and delivery of all food provisions to the designated areas. Ensuring all kitchen refuse is disposed of on a regular basis to the compactor area. Operating mechanical vehicles, scrubbers and steam cleaning machine. Deputising for the storekeeper in his/her absence.
You must have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills. Comply with all food hygiene regulations with regards to food handling, storage and departmental cleaning.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
