Groundworker Apprentice - Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks
We are seeking dedicated Groundworker Apprentices to join our team based in Bridgwater, Somerset, at Hinkley Point C. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a career in construction and infrastructure services while working towards a Level 2 Groundworker Apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship allows you to earn while you learn, gaining practical experience and a recognized qualification. You will work closely with our Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks team to provide design, build, and maintenance solutions that protect the UK's essential services and assets.
Details
* Location: Bridgwater, Somerset (Hinkley Point C)
* Hours: 39 hours per week
* Salary: £16,528 per annum
Role Responsibilities
* Install underground utilities safely and accurately.
* Set out and install above ground services such as kerbs and street furniture; lay and finish concrete to approved levels.
* Read and interpret construction drawings, including Building Information Modelling (BIM), and various site documentation.
* Support ground preparation and use geo-membranes to stabilize soil for excavations and reinstatement.
* Attend college sessions at Bridgwater and Taunton College on a block release basis.
Candidate Requirements
This role is ideal if you:
* Hold a GCSE (or Level 2 equivalent) in English and Maths.
* Are willing to learn and enthusiastic.
* Are well-organized and proactive.
