Join Our Team as an IT Apprentice!

As our apprentice, you'll get hands-on exposure to real-world IT operations which ranges from supporting helpdesk requests to assisting with cloud, network, and security tasks. You'll join a collaborative, dynamic environment where learning is embedded in what we do, and your development is fully supported.
In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
Security processes such as password resets, multi factor auth, anti virus configuration.
Interpret technical docs like network diagrams, technical specs all found on Sharepoint.
Support with SLA's via the ticketing system - OTS (In house ticketing system).
Everything will be documents via the ticketing system also.
Support will be given over the phone, through email, teams and F2F site visits.
Upgrade and repair PCs such as increasing RAM, changing CPU, GPU.
Work with hardware devices like routers, switches and firewalls.
Conduct software updates like service packs, security patches and driver updates.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics & Grade 5 in GCSE English
Basic understanding of IT systems and hardware.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts.
Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
Reliable and punctual with a proactive attitude.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Salary, Hours&Benefits:
£19,000-£20,000 per annum.
9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
Christmas day, Boxing day and Christmas Eve shutdown.
Opportunity to progress to NE L4.
This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we'll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You'll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You'll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
