SEN Teaching Assistant - PMLD Support

A welcoming and specialist Primary SEN School in Radcliffe, Bury is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. You will play a key role in supporting children aged 4-11 with PMLD, helping to deliver tailored learning experiences and personal care where required.
About the Role:
Supporting pupils with PMLD on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting with communication, sensory development, physical needs, and personal care
Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and external professionals
Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that encourages every child to reach their potential
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children or young adults with PMLD or complex needs - either in education, care, or a healthcare setting
Strong understanding of sensory learning, alternative communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton), and physical or medical support
A caring, calm, and patient nature
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential with the right experience or transferrable skills
