Home Delivery Van Driver – ASDA, Colchester
Location: Turner Rise, Colchester, CO4 5TU. Pay £12.50 per hour. Flexible 8‑hour shifts, all days of the week. No delivery experience required – full training provided.
Responsibilities
* Adhere to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
* Secure the load of the trailer so that products are safely secured and minimise chances of damage.
* Provide excellent customer service and take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
* Carry out multi‑drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner.
* Report any vehicle defects to the Transport Office as necessary.
* Demonstrate excellent customer‑facing awareness skills.
* Be a good timekeeper and work independently without supervision.
* Maintain an enthusiastic and reliable attitude towards delivering first‑class customer service.
* Communicate effectively and exhibit a flexible, can‑do attitude to work.
Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence (held for a minimum of 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points).
* Good customer service skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
* Ability to work flexibly, including late shifts and weekends.
* Physically fit – able to lift and carry shopping crates safely.
* Good time‑keeping and reliability.
* Comfortable working independently while out on the road.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Willingness to support in‑store tasks (e.g., picking/packing) when required.
* Basic understanding of smartphones/handheld devices for route and delivery management.
